TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action on a Public Roadway Participation Agreement between the City of Maricopa and Paragon Development Group related to the construction of improvements along a portion of Edison Road.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTIONParagon Development Group L.L.C. an Arizona limited liability company, and/or its successors or assigns (“Paragon”) will be improving portions of their property including construction of improvement on Edison Road adjacent to their property.  This will leave a portion of Edison Road immediately to the east of Paragon’s property unimproved. Therefore, Paragon has agreed to construct the half-street improvements immediately to the east of Paragon’s Property to ensure proper flow of traffic and alleviate any public safety concerns. Paragon will provide half-street improvements consisting of pavement, curb, gutter, streetlights, sidewalk and landscaping on Edison Road between the Property and Wilson Road and City will pay for such improvements.

Within sixty (60) days of the issuance of a notice to proceed to Contractor, City will pay to Paragon the Agreed Cost for the completion of the Roadway Improvements. In no event shall the City’s funding obligation exceed $85,059.

This item will be presented by City Engineer Eduardo Raudales.
