TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall consider a request by the Development Services Department - Transit/Transportation Unit for the authority to amend and extend the existing contract for up to sixty (60) days pending a new Request for Proposal (RFP) award for the City of Maricopa's Demand Response Services with Total Transit Enterprises, LLC., an Arizona limited liability company.  Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The City of Maricopa uses Total Transit Enterprises, LLC. to provide driver, scheduling and dispatch support for its City-Wide Transit System,

under original Contract #14-28, with subsequent contract amendments and renewals; CON #14-42, CON #15-51 and CON #16-41.

The existing contract expires with no renewals on September 30, 2017.  A new contract RFP competitive bid solicitation is pending,

however it is necessary due to The City's City Wide "Vital" Transit Services that are provided to the Citizens of Maricopa and surrounding

participating cities and to stay in compliance with Federal Transit Authority Grant Funding and Regulations.

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION

The City Manager recommends that the Mayor and City Council discuss and approve the amendment to extend existing Contract #16-41 for up to sixty (60) days, pending a new award/contract.  Presented by Director Martin Scribner.
