TITLE

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This contract will provide for continuation of current Demand Response service, and the introduction of local Demand Response service on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Currently, there is no local Demand Response service on those days because the Demand Response bus is on the regional route to Chandler or Casa Grande. This contract will also provide for the introduction of limited local Deviated Fixed Route service, two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening, Monday through Friday. The Deviated Fixed Route service will enable us to serve the morning and evening commuter markets within Maricopa. Central Arizona College students show a high propensity to use such a service, as confirmed by recently completed surveys. Job commuters in Maricopa will also be targeted for this service, in addition to patients traveling to and from the Pinal County Public Health Clinic in Maricopa. This contract is an increase in scope from last year and coincides with the acquisition of three minivans which have already been awarded by the Federal Transit Administration, through Arizona Department of Transportation.
