TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a Consent to Assignment of Services Agreement for Demand Transit Services which assigns the agreement from Total Transit Inc. to ValuTrans Holdings, LLC.  Discussion and Action.
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Mayor and City Council approved contract CON 14-28 on September 2, 2014 for Total Transit Inc. to provide transit service for the City of Maricopa for the period October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. Total Transit Inc.  provides driver, dispatch and scheduling support for the City of Maricopa Express Transit (COMET) service. The assignment was requested by Total Transit Inc. because their liability coverage is written on the name ValuTrans Holdings, LLC.  ValuTrans is an affiliated company under common  ownership and is the Total Transit company that provides public transit service.  The name change is the only action requested with this item, and no funds are requested.  
 
This item will be presented by Development Services Director Robert J. Goodhue.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve the Consent to Assignment of Services Agreement for Demand Transit Services which assigns the agreement from Total Transit Inc. to ValuTrans Holdings, LLC.
