AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Executive Team and Development Group have had several discussions regarding fleet operations and the need for improvement due to the continued growth of the City. A Business Process Review of Fleet Management was completed in February 2017 by HeinfeldMeech. The review was based on a financial perspective and a more detailed study is required to get a clear picture of how the City should move forward to improve Fleet Management. The assessment will include the following areas: Asset Allocation and Utilization Management, Asset Acquisition and Disposal, Driver/Operator Management, In-House Asset Maintenance and Repair, In-House Maintenance and Repair Parts Management, Outsourced Maintenance and Repair Management, Fleet Fueling, Fleet Management Resources Management, Fleet Management Information Management, Fleet Cost and Financial Management and Fleet Service Delivery Management.
