TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and provide direction to staff regarding the City's license to sell alcohol at Copper Sky. Discussion and Recommendation Only.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This matter has been brought forward for council consideration at the request of at least two members of the city council. Staff seeks direction from the council regarding the proposal for alcohol sales, under a city license, at adult tournaments, special events, and/or all activities and events at Copper Sky.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
We ask the council to provide specific direction as follows:
1. Determine if you wish to consider the sale of alcohol under a city license for adult tournaments, special events and/or all activities and events at Copper Sky?
2. If the council desires to review this matter for potential implementation, then you need to determine if you wish to assign the study to a standing committee to include staff and legal representation along with assigned council liaison.
3. Then, based on standing committee deliberations, recommendations, and public input, the council should then provide clear and decisive direction to staff.
