A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, adopting a policy for the placement of roadside memorials within the City of Maricopa. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City of Maricopa Roadside Memorial Policy is intended to honor and respect those that have died as a result of a motor vehicle, pedestrian, or bicycle incident while maintaining a clean and safe public right-of-way. The policy will apply to memorial plaques or remembrances placed within a public right of way which, pursuant to Zoning Code 18.115.040.B.2, are exempt from the sign code.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends City Council approve the Roadside Memorial policy.
