The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for an Application for Special Event Liquor License submitted by Michael Wheeler on behalf of Native Grill & Wings for a special event known as the Copa Cultural Night Market on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Copper Sky Regional Park 44345 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an Application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office.
In preparation for the Copa Cultural Night Market that is planned for April 22, 2023 at Copper Sky, Michael Wheeler has applied for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.
This is the second year in producing this multi-cultural event. A celebration of diversity and the arts is the focus and being able to incorporate various food offerings from different cultures as well as beverages in the beer garden, provides a unique element of the event. We will be charging for parking and strongly encouraging pre-sale parking and complimentary shuttle service.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License for the Copa Cultural Night Market on April 22, 2023.
