TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, confirming compliance with A.R.S. §9-481(H) and A.R.S. §41-1494. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
A.R.S. § 41-1494 prohibits a city from requiring any employee to engage in or to use public monies for training, orientation, or therapy that presents any form of blame or judgment on the basis of race, ethnicity or sex.
A.R.S. 9-481(H) requires that the City Council demonstrates compliance with A.R.S. § 41-1494 in conjunction with the annual audit presentation required by A.R.S. § 9- 481(H).
The City Council has received and reviewed a certification from the City’s Human Resources Manager confirming compliance with A.R.S. § 41-1494 (the “Certificate of Compliance”).
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 23-10.
