AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

Currently, children 11 years of age and younger are prohibited from being in an off-leash area or a dog park.  The City believes that allowing children who are accompanied by a parent or adult guardian will create the ability for families to get more use out of these areas and allows families to enjoy more time together with their pets.  The code changes are summarized below with deletions being struck through and additions in red:

Children 11 years of age and younger are at all times prohibited within the boundaries of all  designated off-leash areas and dog parks owned and/or operated by the city of Maricopa unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.
