TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to approve the Sublease and Facility Usage Agreement with the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce, Inc., and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement and any future amendments or other necessary documents related to this agreement. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City has entered into a lease agreement for a building at Estrella Gin Business Park dated June 25, 2020 with Estrella Gin Business Park, LLC. This Sublease and Facility Usage Agreement subleases approximately 500 square feet of the building to the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce. In lieu of a base rent, the Chamber of Commerce will provide services outlined in section 2A of the agreement. Some of the services include:
- Assistance for new and small businesses such as training seminars, coaching clinics, networking opportunities, and others.
- Maintaining a Maricopa business registry
- Granting the City Platinum membership within the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce
- And others
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the approval of the Sublease and Facility Usage Agreement and authorization of the City Manager to execute the agreement and any future amendments or other necessary documents related to this agreement.
