TITLE

A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona designating the City’s Chief Fiscal Officer for purposes of submitting the City's Fiscal Year 2021 Expenditure Limitation Report to the Arizona Auditor General.  Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to adopt a resolution to designate Matt Kozlowski as the CFO for the purposes of submitting the City’s Annual Expenditure Limitation Report (AELR) to the Auditor General and certifying to the accuracy of the report.

 

Arizona Revised Statutes §41-1279.07(E) requires each county, city, town, and community college district to annually provide to the Auditor General by July 31 the name of the Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO) the governing board designates to submit the City’s Annual Expenditure Limitation Report (AELR) and certify to the accuracy of the report.

Proposal must address:

Matt Kozlowksi is hereby designated as the Chief Fiscal Officer (CFO) for purposes of submitting the City’s Annual Expenditure Limitation Report (AELR) to the Auditor General and certifying to the accuracy of the report.

This designation shall be in effect for the AELR for fiscal year 2020-21.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

City staff recommends Council adopt the Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona supporting the designation of Matt Kozlowski as the CFO for purposes of submitting and certifying the AELR for fiscal year 2020-21.
