TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, declaring and adopting the results of the Primary Election held on August 4, 2020. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
A.R.S. §16-642 requires that the governing body holding an election meet and canvass the election not less than six days nor more than twenty days following the election. Although the canvass of the vote does not need to be done by a Resolution, our practice has been to do it as a Resolution because they are considered a permanent record.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
