TITLE

An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, adopting new Subdivision Regulations and amending sections of the Zoning Code by reference and repealing the existing provision Maricopa City Code Title 17 Subdivision Code, Title 18 Zoning Code Chapter 18.60 and Chapter 18.180 and providing for severability and the effective date thereof.  Discussion and Action. 

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve Ordinance 20-11, case # TXT20-02, a request by the City of Maricopa adopting a major update to the city's Subdivision Regulations  and amending portions of the Zoning Code. The proposed text amendment is a re-adoption of City Code Title 17 by repealing and adopting new subdivision regulations. This text amendment also includes repealing and adopting new chapters of the Zoning Code, specifically, Title 18 Zoning Code, Chapter 18.60 Planned Area Development District and Chapter 18.180 Planned Area Development Procedure.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

On July 13, 2020 the Planning & Zoning Commission unanimously recommended the City Council to approve Text Amendment case # TXT20-02, to formally repeal and adopt Title 17 Subdivision Code, Title 18 Zoning Code Chapter 18.60 and Chapter 18.180 and providing for severability and the effective date thereof.
