TITLE

An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, adopting "Maricopa City Code - 2020 Revision" by reference as Titles 1 to 18 of the Maricopa City Code and repealing the previously adopted City Code and providing for severability and the effective date thereof. Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

Staff hired a codification company to codify the Maricopa City Code approximately one year ago. In the process of the codification, the City Code was reorganized and renumbered. Staff felt that repealing the existing City Code and adopting a revised City Code would be in the best interest of the City. 

This item will be presented by City Clerk Vanessa Bueras.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of the Resolution and Ordinance.
