TITLE

An Ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, approving and adopting an amendment to the City's Zoning Map to zone certain property described in Zoning Case #ZON19-11  for approximately 1.25 acres of land generally located east of Gunsmoke Rd and south of Magnolia Rd, within the City of Maricopa incorporated limits. The parcel of land is located in a portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 25 of Township 4 South, Range 3 east of the Gila and Salt River base and meridian, Pinal County, Arizona. Discussion and Action.

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve Ordinance 20-04, a request by Kooline Plumbing LLC, to amend the designated land use for approximately 1.25 acres of land from General Rural (GR) to General Mixed Use (MU-G) as identified in the City’s Zoning Map. Generally located near the southeast corner of Gunsmoke Rd and Magnolia Rd, within the City of Maricopa incorporated limits. The land is located in a portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 25 of Township 4 South, Range 3 east of the Gila and Salt River base and meridian, Pinal County, Arizona.

 

On May 11, 2020 the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended that the City Council approve Case # ZON19-11, and adopt Ordinance 20-04.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff finds the submittal items of ZON19-11 to be significantly compliant with Sec. 509.05 of City of Maricopa Zoning Code.

The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval of Case # ZON19-11 subject to the conditions stated in the staff analysis exhibit.
