AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The City of Maricopa initiated a petition from City Council on November 5, 2019 to pursue six (6) street name changes within the Maricopa Townsite subdivision, a portion within the Heritage District Redevelopment area. Bordered by N. John Wayne Pkwy on the west, W. Honeycutt Rd. on the north, N. Plainview St. on the east, and W. Maricopa Casa Grande Hwy on the south.

The street name change, a goal of the city's adopted General Plan and Strategic Plan 2020-2022, will assist the primary purpose of revitalizing the area by creating a vibrant environment and sense of place/placemaking.

This item will be presented by Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development, Rodolfo Lopez.
