TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) and the City of Maricopa for the collection and administration of transaction privilege and affilitated excise taxes imposed by the City of Maricopa.  Discussion and Action. 

 

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

IGA Arizona Department of Revenue "Department" and the City of Maricopa shall go into agreement to provide that the Department shall collect and administer any transaction privilege and affiliated excise taxes imposed by any city of town in Arizona and that the Department and each city or town shall enter into an intergovernmental contract or agreement pursuant to ARS 11-952 to provide a uniform method of administration, collection, audit and licensing of transaction privilege and affiliated excise taxes imposed by the State, cities or towns.

 

This item will be presented by the City's Financial Services Manager, Angele Ozoemelam.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of the IGA.
