AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City is developing a new Library Facility to be located at the northeast corner of Bowlin Road and White & Parker Road. The site is located immediately south of Civic Center Plaza. The new facility will provide an approximate 20,000 to 25,000 square foot building, complete with the required infrastructure, floor space, storage, technology, and environmental features to provide a reliable, efficient, safe and secure library facility to meet the current and future demands of the City. The site improvements shall include staff and visitor parking, landscape, hardscape and outdoor open space for community events.

Staff recently completed a qualifications-based selection process for the design and construction administration services. Seven firms submitted Statement of Qualifications based upon the City’s solicitation; three firms were short-listed for interviews, and Hidell Associates Architects, Inc. was selected to provide design and construction administration services for this project. The design and construction phase will take approximately two years to complete.
