TITLE
The Mayor and Council shall hear a presentation on the progress of the marketing and development agreement for Copper Sky Commercial. Discussion only.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Economic Development staff published an RSOQ for the marketing and development of Copper Sky Commercial January 2018. The evaluation committee selected Commercial Properties Inc as the marketing and development partner for the 18.3 acre site. Economic Development staff will provide an update on the progress of the agreement, coupled with a prelimiary site plan, and will discuss the development phases of the project.
Phase I to include: LaQuinta Hotel with 89 rooms, approximately 320 multi-family housing units, and 16,00o square feet of retail with the ability to add two additional pads. Phase II to include: Assisted living facility with 172 units - 82 independent, 56 assisted, 34 memory care, 300+ multi-family housing unts, and approximately 30,000 square feet of retail/commercial/office space.
The presentation will include development partner information as well as images of a similar project in Fountain Hills, AZ.
This item will be presented by Denyse Airheart, Economic Development Director.
