TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, directing that all checks or withdrawals from City funds bear the dual signatures of two (2) City of Maricopa Officials, except that checks or withdrawals for the account designated for the City Court may bear an individual signature of a City of Maricopa Official. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Council has determined that, in the exercise of prudence, any withdrawals from City accounts after January 4, 2019 should bear the dual signatures of two (2) City Officials except withdrawals from the account designated for the City Court which may bear the signature of one (1) City Official.
Be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, that effective January 1, 2019, any withdrawals from City banking accounts, except the account designated for the City Court, shall bear the signatures of at least two (2) of the following City officials as authorized signors: the City Manager, City Clerk, Administrative Services Director, and Financial Services Manager. Any contracts or agreements with a banking institution shall require that the dual signature requirement be reflected on the institutions's records and signature cards.
Be it further resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, that, not withstanding the provision set forth above, any withdrawals from the City bank account designated for the Maricopa City Court shall bear the signature of at lease one (1) of the following City Officials as authorized signers: the City Manager, City Clerk, Administrative Services Director, Financial Services Manager, or City Magistrate.
