The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for an Application for Special Event License submitted by Torri Anderson on behalf of Against Abuse, Inc. for a special event known as 14th Annual Against Abuse Inc. Seeds of Change Gala on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 20942 N. Province Parkway. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an Application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office. In preparation for their gala fundraising event planned for Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Province Community Town Hall, Torri Anderson has submitted an application for Council consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.
This is the 14th year in holding this fundraiser. Staff has reviewed, commented and approved the event plan. Everything is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
This item will be presented by Nathan Ullyot, Community Services Director.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
The City Manager recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License for the 14th Annual Against Abuse Inc. Seeds of Change Gala on March 2, 2019.
