TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to ratify an amendment to the contract with SmartGov to increase the contract amount to an amount not to exceed $53,232.45.  Funding for this contract will be drawn from General Fund, Building Safety, Technical (10044142-53340) in the amount of $46,988 and from General Fund, Information Technology, Technical (10011553-53340) in the amount of $5,244.45.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

With the enormous success of the SmartGov software, it is necessary to expand our contract to include new users from time to time. Our current contract is for 35 users and the new contract is for unlimited full time users.

Since the implementation of our SmartGov System, we have included Building, Planning, Engineering, Fire, Code Enforcement, Police Alarm Permits, and Business Licenses. Over the next year we are looking to add Special Events, Economic Development and outside agencies such as the County, ED3, Global Water and others.

This amendment will increase the total contract amount from $31,984.10 to $53,232.45.  All costs are accounted for in the FY2018-2019 budget. This price is fixed through the FY2018-2024 budget.

This item will be presented by Development Services Director Martin Scribner.
