TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall hear and discuss a presentation of the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) /Pinal Regional Transportation Authority (PRTA) SR-347 Corridor Scoping Study, by Quinn Castro, MAG Project Manager for the study.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This study is an effort led by MAG, and funded by MAG, PRTA (or Pinal County) and possibly the City of Maricopa. Its objective is to identify limitations in the SR-347 roadway facility and make recommendations that will be used in design and construction of improvements to increase the safety and efficiency of the roadway. This is a necessary first step toward improvement of the SR-347 corridor.
This presentation will cover agency participation and related funding commitments from these agencies, including Maricopa. Agency relationships will be a prominent part of the presentation. It will also generally cover the work process involved in the study and time frame for project launch and scheduled completion.
