2017-18 Maricopa Advocate Program Achievement Recognition
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Maricopa Advocate Program (MAP) is designed to ensure that participants receive a 360-degree view of the City's resources, current and future projects, and the role our regional partners play in business attraction. Maricopa Advocates will accumulate the proper tools to confidently talk about City economic development goals and advantages of locating in Maricopa. Maricopa Advocate members get involved by attending a series of City sponsored events and earning points. The Maricopa Advocate Program Recognition tiers are:
• Silver (15 Points)
• Gold (20 Points)
• Platinum (30 Points)
Certified Platinum MAPs can be recertified by earning 15 points in any consecutive year. We are grateful for the time our Maricopa Advocates have given to help promote economic growth in Maricopa. The 2018-19 Maricopa Advocate Program Year will begin July 1, 2018.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Mayor and Council hear the presentation on the 2017-18 Maricopa Advocate Program Year and recognize participants who have achieved Silver, Gold and Platinum Status. No additional action is required.
