The City has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) for demolition of existing vacant buildings within the Heritage District that are currently in a dilapidated condition and pose a safety concern to the public.  The project shall demolish and dispose of six existing buildings on four separate properties located south of Honeycutt Road and east of State Route 347 at the following addresses:

1.    44548 West Maricopa/Casa Grande Highway

2.   44378 West Maricopa/Casa Grande Highway

4.   19514 North Pershing Street

The City has obtained Right of Entry Agreements from the property owners that allow the City and our contractors to enter the sites to perform the work.

A change order would be authorized by the City Engineer only if unforeseen conditions arise during the course of demolition that require the contractor to perform additional work.

This item will be presented by Public Works Director/City Engineer William P. Fay.
