TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve a Memorandum of Understanding with Electrical District No. 3 (ED3) for future improvements to Bowlin Road.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

ED3 recently completed construction of the Anderson Substation, along the Bowlin Road alignment, between Hartman Road and Murphy Road.  As required in Article 14-7 of the City’s Subdivision Ordinance, ED3 is responsible for constructing the half street along the frontage of the substation.  Because the remainder of Bowlin Road through the mile section from Hartman Road to Murphy Road is unimproved, staff has agreed to defer the requisite improvements until the remainder of Bowlin Road is constructed.  This agreement formalizes that deferral and requires ED3 to maintain an all-weather access road from Hartman Road to the substation.

This item will be presented by Public Works Director/City Engineer William P. Fay.
