TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for an Application for Special Event License submitted by Michael Kemery on behalf of Maricopa Music Festival LLC. for a special event known as Maricopa Music Festival (to be hosted by Chrystal O'jon) on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 44345 W Martin Luther King Blvd Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an Application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office. In preparation for their event planned for Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Copper Sky Regional Park, Michael Kemery has submitted an application for Council consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license. Chrystal Ojon is the host of this event; the VFW Post 12043 will host the beer garden.
This is the 2nd year in holding this event. Staff has reviewed, commented and is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
This item will be presented by Fred Gray, Interim Community Services Director.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License for the 2nd Annual Maricopa Music Festival on April 7, 2018.
