TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving the purchase of ten (10) Panasonic Toughbook 31 laptops from CDW-G, pursuant to Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing” of the City Code in an amount not to exceed $39,933.33. Funding is CIP- Laptop Replacement (35022122-67744-32009). Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This action is for the Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving the purchase of ten (10) Panasonic Toughbook 31 laptops from CDW-G.
Toughbook computers are essential to law enforcement operations, allowing officers to complete and revise reports in the field. Toughbook computers allow officers to review information and data from Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). The ten (10) Toughbooks will act as replacement items to Toughbooks already in the field.
Staff and IT continue to evaluate best products available and research to date leads us to believe the Panasonic Toughbook 31's are the best product for our work environment.

PD Command Staff and IT recommends approval to purchase ten (10) Panasonic Toughbook 31 tablets from CDW-G.
