TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall hear an update on Maricopa Fire and Medical Department's Hydrant Flushing Program and Intergovernmental Agreements (IGA's) with Global Water and Maricopa Domestic Water.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The Maricopa Fire and Medical Department has worked with Global Water and Maricopa Domestic Water for almost three years developing intergovernment agreements with both organizations regarding hydrant flushing, inspections and maintenance. This presentation will update the Council as to the progress of all organizations involved. Due to the amount of hydrants owned by Global Water, much of the presentation is focused on the collaboration between Global and the fire department. Specifically highlighting some unique features of the Global Water system, the presentation will update the Council and public as to findings and processes/solutions developed to address these unique system features.
