TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on accepting the new Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the Regional Metropolitan Phoenix Fire Service Automatic Aid. Discussion and Action.   

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Maricopa Fire/Medical Department is currently part of an IGA for the Regional Metropolitan Phoenix Fire Service Automatic Aid.  This agreement will terminate on December 19, 2017 and be replaced with the attached IGA.  The IGA promotes consistency among the partners in the areas of staffing, allocation of resources, training, Incident management, minimum company standards, command procedures and communications and dispatch.
