Title: The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a 12 month lease agreement from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 between the City of Maricopa and Transition Investments, LLC for commercial space for the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE) at The Shops at Maricopa Fiesta. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

Staff has worked to negotiate the 12 month lease between the City of Maricopa and Transition Investments, LLC for commercial space at 20800 N John Wayne Pkwy, St 108 Maricopa, AZ 85139 for the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE). The lease is for the 1,307 square foot space where the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE) currently resides.

 

In the past, the previous Executive Director negotiated a 12 month contract for the space convenient for MCE and NACET given the annual contract is upon for approval by the Maricopa City Council each year. This year it was decided the City would negotiate and become the Master Tenant for the space for better direction and management over the center.

 

CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION

City Manager recommends approval of the lease agreement between the City of Maricopa and Transition Investments, LLC for the commercial space for the Maricopa Center for Entrepreneurship.
