TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall consider and possibly take action on approving a five year Lease Agreement with Dawn Theroux for the property located at 18860 N. John Wayne Parkway for the purpose of establishing the Maricopa Family Advocacy Center. This lease agreement will be in an amount not to exceed $198,000. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City of Maricopa Police Department is requesting to enter into a lease agreement with Dawn Theroux to establish the Maricopa Family Advocacy Center. On June 6, 2017 the Mayor and City Council unanimously approved moving forward the government method of management for the Maricopa Family Advocacy Center.

The term of the lease shall be for a period of five (5) years and the monthly rent shall be three thousand three hundred and 00/100 dollars ($3,300) per month for the term of this lease. The first year of the lease will be paid for through the grants fund, police administration, rent -land/buildings (22022121-54441-17217) for $39,600. The remaining four years of the lease will paid for through stakeholder agreements with Casa Grande Police Department, Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Dignity Health and Community Alliance Against Family Abuse. All four organizations have verified funding has been approved in their annual budget process and the agreements are pending legal review and signatures.

The approval of the lease will allow the Maricopa Police Department and its stakeholders to occupy the property and facilitate the use of the building for a Family Advocacy Center.
