Title: The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving the purchase of one Mini Caliber SRT Robot from ICOR Technologies, pursuant to Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing” of the City Code in an amount not to exceed $56,581.50. TITLE

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

This action is for the Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving the purchase of one Mini Caliber SWAT Robot from ICOR Technologies

 

The Maricopa Police Department has reviewed specifications of the Mini Caliber SWAT Robot and have determined it suitable for current operations.  The Robot will provide MPD personnel and members of the Special Response Team (SRT) a valuable resource in potentially life threatening situations.

 

RICO funding has been approved by the Pinal County Attorney's Office.  There is no line item budgetary impact to the General Fund.

 

The item is being presented by Police Chief Steve Stahl.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval to using RICO budgetary capacity to purchase one Mini Caliber SWAT Robot from ICOR Technologies.
