AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On April 20,2017 the Budget, Finance and Operations (BFO) Committee met and was presented with a Draft of the Fiscal Year 17-18 Operating Budget. During this presentation there were recommendations made by the BFO for the purchase of items or completion of projects utilizing FY 16-17 Contingency Funds. The purchase of DELL or Surface Pro style computers for the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and councilmembers; and a budgetary transfer in an amount not to exceed $405 were two of the recommendations. Upon approval of this item, IT will work with the Mayor and Council to finalize the details regarding the computers to be purchased and Public works with procure the Universal Pet Scanner.

Other items that were recommended to be funded by FY 16-17 Contingency Funds were: Phase II Kitchen Remodel - Fire - $14,000; Info Tech Research Group Annual Subscription - IT -$3,600; and Contract Worker - HR - $24,752. Finance in working with the applicable departments determined these projects would not be able to be completed prior to June 30, 2017, therefor would not be able to be funded with FY 16-17 Contingency Funds. These items would be brought forward to Council in FY 2017-18 for Contingency funding, if necessary.
