AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

 

The City of Maricopa Police Department though the FY16 Governor's Office of Highway Safety Funding submitted a grant application as granted by the Mayor and City Council on 4/5/2016.

 

On 1/18/2017 the City of Maricopa was notified of an additional grant award for Accident Investigation Software in the amount of $34,000.

 

There is no matching requirement for acceptance of the grant awared.

 

This item will be presented by Police Chief, Steve Stahl.

 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council accept the grant award from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) grant in the amount of $34,000 for the purchase accident investigation software and authorize the City Manager to sign the grant contract and any other associated documents.
