TITLE
The Mayor and City Council discuss and possibly take action on approval of the Boards, Committees and Commission Handbook and authorizing staff to make changes to be consistent with State laws and City Code. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This handbook was developed at the request of two Councilmembers in early 2013. The completion was dependent upon the adoption of the Ethics Code for the Boards, Committees and Commissions (BCC). This handbook serves as a tool for BCC members to help them better understand their role and responsibilities. It includes a compilation of State laws, City Code, City policies and best practices.
This item will be presented by City Clerk Vanessa Bueras and Intergovernmental Affairs Director Paul Jepson.

Staff recommends approval of the handbook.
