AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
This request is to approve a contract for purchase software as a service from Paladin Data Systems Corporation for their SMARTGOV Electronic Permitting and Plan Review System.

This software as a service from Paladin Data Systems Corporation will replace the city's existing Tyler Technologies MUNIS permitting software. After several months of due diligence and extensive Request For Proposal process, it was determined that the software as a service from Paladin Data Systems Corporation's SMARTGOV program most closely fits the City's future needs and dedication to move toward a more cost efficient, green paperless program.

We will be purchasing the software as a service from Paladin Data Systems Corporation using Paladin Data Systems Corporations contract, in compliance with the City of Maricopa Code. The SaaS package will be used for permits, plan reviews, inspections, code enforcement, customer portal, electronic payments, planning applications and reviews, engineering permits and reviews, fire department inspection and reviews, and could incorporate but is not limited to, police alarm permits, business licenses, and special event permits. The package includes a built-in GIS system and can be integrated with Pinal County and State agencies.
