TITLE
A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Maricopa, Arizona, approving the renaming of DR Horton Drive, which is located within the Homestead North subdivision in the City of Maricopa, to Homestead Drive. Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
An application has been filed with the City of Maricopa by SLV Homestead, LLC, requesting renaming of existing DR Horton Drive to Homestead Drive (case #ADR14-06). This street is generally defined as a collector road; it runs within the Homestead North community, connecting Porter Road to the west and Smith Enke Road to the north, and is within the City of Maricopa incorporated limits.
On March 18, 2014, the City Council adopted a Street Name Change Policy through Resolution 14-11. Accordingly, SLV Homestead, LLC has submitted an application and met the provisions established therein (Resolution 14-11), including public notification sent to all adjacent property owners within 300 feet of the collector street, a Public Hearing newspaper advertisement, and also posting Public Hearing signs within the subdivision to inform the residents.
In addition, staff sent out notice to area agencies (including Ak-Chin), and a Technical Advisory Committee meeting was held May 27 to inform all utility and emergency services providers. At the time of writing this report, staff has not received any letters or comments in opposition from the public, utility providers, or other agencies.

This item will be presented by Zoning Administrator Kazi Haque.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the street name change from DR Horton Drive to Homestead Drive contingent upon the applicant processing the street name change from DR Horton Drive to Homestead Drive by an Affidavit of Correction (Final Plat) and Recordation through Pinal County Recorder's Office (Resolution14-24).
