TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a purchase of four (4) outfitting packages to equip four (4) new Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicles of the Maricopa Police Department in an amount not to exceed $40,000 from the Police Development Impact Fee Fund, Police Administration, Vehicles (32222121-67742).  This purchase is in accordance with the City of Maricopa Purchasing Code, Article IV, Section 3-223, Cooperative Purchasing.  Discussion and Action.
 
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The purchase of the outfitting services is required to equip four new (4) Chevrolet Tahoes which were purchased by the police department. These vehicles will be equipped as fully marked patrol vehicles to replace four (4) 2006 & 2007 Dodge charger patrol vehicles that have been taken out of service due to engine failure. This outfitting includes all the appropriate emergency equipment as follows:
 
·      Emergency lighting equipment
·      Siren, speaker and console
·      Rear seat protective partition, window bars and plastic seat.
·      Circuit breakers, power supplies and laptop docking station.
·      Labor and materials for complete installation.
 
The City of Maricopa Fleet Manager concurs with the purchase of the outfitting services for the Chevrolet Tahoes.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council approve the purchase of four (4) outfitting packages to equip four (4) new Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicles of the Maricopa Police Department in an amount not to exceed $40,000 from the Police Development Impact Fee Fund, Police Administration, Vehicles (32222121-67742).
