TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving City of Maricopa "Cowtown" Parcel 50242002A as a site for the placement of a temporary air quality monitoring station and authorizing the City Manager to execute any lease, license, permit or other necessary document(s) with Pinal County to allow the temporary air quality monitoring station to be placed and operated from this site for up to eighteen (18) months. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Pinal Count Air Quality Division is in the process of identifying new locations for the Cowtown monitor. The City of Maricopa owns property very near the Cowtown site, Parcel 50242002A, and is offering this parcel as a potential long term location for the Cowtown Monitor. As part of the EPA relocation process the County will set up temporary monitoring sites around eastern Pinal County.
 
Council approval of this agenda item will indicates Council's willingness to see the Cowtown monitor placed on this site and will allow the City Manager to negotiate and sign any required documentation needed in setting up the temporary monitor site for County use.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council approval of this item in support of the relocation of the Cowtown monitor.
