The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on recommending approval to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event Liquor License application submitted by Wayne Santi on behalf of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for a special event known as Cinco de Mayo on May 5, 2012 at 45295 W Honeycutt Avenue. AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an Application for Special Event License be approved by local government before submission to their office.
In preparation for the Cinco de Mayo fundraiser event that is planned for Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Wayne Santi has submitted an application for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.
This is the first year that Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church is hosting this fundraiser. Staff has reviewed, commented and met with the applicant regarding their event plan. Everything is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval of the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for a Special Event License for the Cinco de Mayo event on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
