TITLE

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control requires that an application for Extension of Premises/Patio Permit be approved by local government before submission to their office.
 
In preparation for the Maricopa Rotary Club's Cinco de Mayo fundraiser event that is planned for Saturday, May 5, 2012 through 2 a.m. Sunday May 6, 2012 at The New HQ Bar, Alma M. Farrell has submitted an application for Councils' consideration in recommending approval for the extension of premises liquor license.
 
This is the first year that the Maricopa Rotary Club is hosting this fundraiser.  Staff has reviewed, commented and met with the applicant regarding their event plan.  Everything is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
 
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council consider the approval of the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for an Extension of Premises/Patio Permit for the Cinco de Mayo Rotary Fudraiser event on Saturday, May 5, 2012 through 2 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012.
