TITLE

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
Alma M. Farrell, owner of The New HQ Bar and member of the Maricopa Rotary Club, has submitted a Special Event Permit Application to hold a special event known as Cinco de Mayo Rotary Fundraiser on Saturday, May 5, 2012 through 2 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at The New HQ Bar at 16430 N. John Wayne Parkway.
The Maricopa Rotary Club would like to host this fundraiser to raise money to support various youth activities in our community.  Staff has reviewed, commented and met with the applicant regarding their event plan.  Everything is moving forward in the planning process to ensure satisfaction and safety of all parties.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Mayor and City Council approve the Special Event Permit for the Cinco de Mayo Rotary Fundraiser event on Saturday, May 5, 2012 through 2 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012.
