AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The State of Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control required that an application for a special event license be approved by local government before submission to their office.

In preparation for the Maricopa Stagecoach Days - Salsa Festival this is planned for October 24, 2026 at Pacana Park, Travis Orian has applied for the City Council's consideration in recommending approval for the special event liquor license.

Maricopa Stagecoach Days is a returning signature event with the new addition of the Salsa Festival this year. An event of this kind is important for creating a connection that enables the community to thrive and being able to incorporate alcoholic beverages provides a unique element of the event when incorporated with the live music and entertainment. We will not be charging for parking and strongly encourage attendees to use the free shuttle services provided.

PRESENTER
