TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action to approve an Interim Presiding Judge Agreement with Tresa Georgini. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On June 3, 2014, the Mayor and City Council accepted the resignation of Scott Sulley from the Presiding Judge position for the Maricopa Municipal Court. Pursuant to Section 5-12 of the Maricopa City Code, if a vacancy in the office of presiding judge occurs the Council may appoint an interim presiding judge for up to six months. The proposed agreement will appoint Tresa Georgini as the Interim Presiding Judge for a period of up to six (6) months.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve the Interim Presiding Judge Agreement.
