TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a request to amend our current contract with Universal Police Supply Company to increase the dollar amount from $46,650 to a not-to-exceed amount of $67,150. Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
On Sept. 20, 2011, the City Council approved a Contract with Universal Police Supply Company for the Police Department Uniforms, not to exceed $46,650. On Jan. 7, 2012, the Council approved an MOU with the Maricopa Officers Council-Fraternal Order of Police Maricopa Lodge #78.
Within this MOU is an increase of the uniform allowance per officer. When the original contract was signed with Universal Police Supply Company, this new increase was not included. It is therefore necessary to amend the original contract to increase the not to exceed dollar amount.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council approve a request to amend City of Maricopa Contract # 11-50 with Universal Police Supply Company to increase the dollar amount from $46,650 to a not-to-exceed amount of $67,150.
