TITLE

The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and take action to approve the Special Warranty Deed from the Tortosa Homeowners Association for public roadway and utility purposes along the Honeycutt Road median, east of Hartman Road.  Discussion and Action.

AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION

The medians east of Hartman Road are in tracts owned by the Tortosa HOA Community. The HOA is deeding over Tract “A” on Honeycutt Road just east of Hartman Road for public roadway and utility purposes.

The city will be reconfiguring the Honeycutt Road median by constructing a dedicated left turn lane heading southbound onto Hartman Road. The city will also be converting the intersection into a two-way stop, allowing traffic on Honeycutt Road to flow freely while northbound and southbound traffic on Hartman Road will be required to stop. These adjustments aim to reduce congestion and improve traffic efficiency in this busy corridor. There will be no cost to the City associated with this Special Warranty Deed.
