TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approval of a contract between F.O.R. Maricopa and the City of Maricopa in the amount of $50,000 for the purposes of providing food bank services in the City of Maricopa. The contract will be paid from line item, General Fund, Non-Departmental, Program Awards (10010000-53380). Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
As part of the FY12-13 City budget, the Mayor and City Council approved a grant match in the amount of $50,000 for F.O.R. Maricopa to provide food bank services in the community. As a condition of the grant award, F.O.R. was requested to provide documentation receiving $50,000 from Caesar Foundation and $50,000 from the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
Wendy Webb, Executive Director of F.O.R. Maricopa has provided the City of Maricopa supporting documentation of the $50,000 awarded from both the Caesar Foundation and the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends entering into a contract between F.O.R. Maricopa and the City of Maricopa in the amount of $50,000 for the purposes of providing food bank services in the City of Maricopa. The contract will be paid from line item, general fund, non-departmental, program awards (10010000-53380).
