TITLE
The Mayor and City Council shall discuss and possibly take action on approving a contract amendment to the Abacus Project Management Inc. contract for additional professional program/construction management and design services for the City Complex and Regional Park projects. The change order is for task 1 and 2 of the contract; task 1 - City Complex and task 2 - Regional Park/Multi-Generational Center/Aquatics Center. Funding for task order one in an amount not to exceed $102,832.40 will be drawn from budget line item General Government Development Impact Fee Fund (32311115-53320-31003). Funding for task order two in an amount not to exceed $64,433.60 will be drawn from budget line item Parks Bond (33033138-53320-33009). Discussion and Action.
AGENDA ITEM DESCRIPTION
The City of Maricopa is in the process of planning and designing a variety of City facilities. The existing contract with Abacus consists of two task orders; task 1 - City Complex and task 2 - Regional Park/Multi-Generational Center/Swim Facility.
This Change Order involves both task orders: 1) roadway right of way dedication documentation and reimbursable costs for task 1 and 2) floodplain re-delineation, FEMA Appeal Process for Vekol Wash Tributary and reimbursable costs for task 2.
Task 1
The first item is for the civil engineer to produce a Map of Dedication for widening the right of way of Bowlin Rd and White & Parker Rd adjacent to the site as well as establishing the right of way for the newly created pavilion loop that the City Hall building will sit within ($7,040). The second item is for the reimbursable expenses for the programming and design services for the project. This includes both, costs already encumbered on the project as well as the anticipated future costs for printing construction documents and other deliverables, attending meetings outside the original scope of work and other soft costs ($95,792.40).
